ADAC E-Scooter Test 2026: Seven rated good, two handlebar fractures

Faktengrafik zum ADAC E-Scooter-Test 2026: sieben gute Ergebnisse, zwei Lenkerbrüche im Prüfstand

Source Check from September 23, 2026: The ADAC published its comparison of ten e-scooters at the end of July. It remains relevant for purchasing decisions: seven models received a "good" rating, while two failed the durability test due to a broken handlebar. This is an assessment of an existing test, not a new model introduction or a recall notice.

The results at a glance

The test winner was the Segway Ninebot F3 Pro D with an overall grade of 2.0. The ePowerFun ePF-2 PRO followed with 2.1, and the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Max with 2.2. At the other end are the NAVEE N65 II and the Streetbooster Sirius, each with a 4.5. In addition to handling and ride characteristics, the ADAC also evaluated safety, durability, harmful substances, and range. The test victory is therefore an overall assessment; even with the winner, it is worth looking at the individual values. For the F3 Pro D, for example, the ADAC notes a charging time of more than eight hours.

What "handlebar breakage" means here

With the NAVEE and the Streetbooster Sirius, the handlebars broke on the ADAC test bench. The ADAC dynamically loaded the handlebar ends with 15 kilograms each and points out that the prescribed test specifies a centrally applied load of ten kilograms. The test bench finding is a serious indication of durability under intensive use. However, it neither proves that every scooter in the series will break in everyday use, nor is it a recall notice in itself. The ADAC does not classify it as a proven defect in terms of product liability law.

For the NAVEE model, the ADAC also criticized elevated PAH levels in the grips. A minor inconsistency in the primary sources is worth noting: the ADAC press release writes "Navee N65i II", while the test detail page says "Navee N65 II". Buyers should therefore verify the exact model designation and variant using the product documentation before applying the test result to a specific offer.

Range: Measured value instead of advertising figure

The ADAC measurements show why range figures must be interpreted as comparable data. For the NAVEE, the detail page lists a measured range of 47.3 kilometers compared to the manufacturer's claim of 60 kilometers. For the Streetbooster Sirius, 33.8 kilometers stand against a manufacturer's claim of up to 40 kilometers. Both are values under different conditions; personal range depends on factors such as temperature, rider weight, route, and riding style. A single mileage number is therefore not a guarantee for every trip.

What buyers can look out for now

Anyone considering one of the tested scooters should first check the exact German model variant, then read the individual scores for durability, brakes, and handling, and compare the measured range with their own riding profile. Especially with offers featuring similar-sounding model names, matching them to the test is not guaranteed. An overview of the variants in the current Xiaomi series is provided in our Xiaomi 6 comparison. How accident statistics can be categorized independently of a product test is covered in our accident analysis.
