Acer Predator ES Thunder Pro: European launch planned for 2027 starting at 799 euros

Acer is planning the Predator ES Thunder Pro (PES037) for the first quarter of 2027 in Europe – starting at 799 euros. The announcement dates from September 2, 2026. Our source comparison following the IFA conclusion shows: Acer's data regarding range is not yet consistent.

Key data from the announcement

• Model identifier: PES037.
• 500 watts nominal power, up to 1,600 watts peak power, rear-wheel drive.
• Battery: 624 Wh; weight including battery: 26.5 kg.
• Traction control, Find My, Find Hub, and voice functions via the Acer eMobility app are announced.

These figures are stated in the international Acer press release. According to the manufacturer, equipment, prices, and availability may vary by region. The European date is therefore not yet a binding delivery commitment for a specific German sales variant.

65 or 70 kilometers? Two manufacturer pages differ

The press release mentions up to 70 kilometers. On the German Predator new products page, however, the ES Thunder Pro is listed as 65 kilometers. Both figures were visible when we checked on September 8. We did not find an explanation for the discrepancy on these pages.

We are therefore not adopting either value as a confirmed everyday range. Different variants, test conditions, or an editorial error are conceivable; which explanation is correct remains open. Furthermore, the German page status in itself is no proof of a separately tested German version.

For a later comparison, we need the final data sheet with the model identifier as well as verifiable test conditions. Only a road test can show how far a specific production vehicle actually travels on a given route.

What the KBA check reveals

In the KBA list of issued operating permits retrieved again today with a table status of August 27, 2026, we find neither the PES037 nor the exact trade name Predator ES Thunder Pro. The list contains a different entry: P672, type "Predator PES027", trade name "Predator ES Thunder", approved on March 31, 2026, for ACER Computer GmbH.

This older entry cannot be applied to the PES037 based solely on the similar name. Conversely, the lack of a matching name does not prove a lack of approval: A type may be designated differently, and the published table may lag behind a later approval status. The exact German ABE classification remains open after our review.

The comparison with our morning snapshot did not reveal any new, removed, or changed KBA rows. Therefore, we are not reporting any new registration.

Our assessment for buyers and skin planning

The model is interesting as a further announced new arrival in Europe. However, for a purchasing decision, we lack a clarified range specification and the clear assignment of the German series version. The similarly named predecessor is not a reliable basis for statements regarding the fit of accessories or skins.

We are adding the PES037 to our model monitoring. Skin production is not guaranteed as a result. For that, the final surfaces would first need to be measured, a template developed, and the installation tested on the specific vehicle.
