Shop and source check from September 27, 2026: SoFlow is offering the SO4 PRO GT 2 in its German shop for 1,399 euros. The product page shows "in stock" and delivery in one to three working days. This is a snapshot of the shop, not a personal delivery guarantee. The model becomes interesting when compared to the Core 2 and Max 2: the GT 2 costs at least 500 euros more. What do you get for that – and what else needs to be checked regarding the German operating permit?
GT 2, Core 2, and Max 2 in manufacturer comparison
| Model | Shop price on Sept 27 | Battery | Range according to manufacturer | Peak power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SO4 PRO MAX 2 | €799 | 576 Wh | up to 75 km | 1,300 W |
| SO4 PRO CORE 2 | €899 | 720 Wh | up to 80 km | 1,300 W |
| SO4 PRO GT 2 | €1,399 | 864 Wh | up to 100 km | 1,600 W |
All figures are taken from the current German SoFlow product pages for GT 2, Core 2, and Max 2. These are not performance figures measured by us. The range in particular depends on weight, weather, route profile, and riding style, among other things.
What is SoFlow charging the GT 2 premium for?
Compared to the Core 2, the data sheet shows 144 Wh more battery capacity and 20 km more advertised maximum range; compared to the Max 2, it is 288 Wh and 25 km more. According to SoFlow, the GT 2 has a swappable 864 Wh battery, adjustable air suspension, front and rear disc brakes, 11x3-inch tires, and a TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation. The peak figure of 1,600 W is not continuous power: the manufacturer specifies 500 W nominal power. The Core 2 also offers a TFT display and 11x3-inch tires; the Max 2 is lighter at 24 kg instead of 26 kg according to the data sheet. On paper, the premium is primarily worth it for buyers looking for more battery reserve and the aforementioned suspension – we do not have our own road test.
What the KBA status on the ABE says – and what it doesn't
The official KBA list from September 18, 2026, contains the trade names "SO4 PRO GT" and "SO4 PRO MAX" under P523 from March 2025. We cannot find the exact spelling "SO4 PRO GT 2" in this published list. It does not follow from this that the GT 2 has no operating permit: supplements or specific classification can be found in vehicle documents that the list does not show in detail. The SoFlow product page itself does not mention an ABE number in its readable data sheet. Before buying, you should therefore ask the provider for the data confirmation and the appropriate approval number for the exact version delivered. Section 2 of the eKFV requires an operating permit and a valid insurance sticker for use on public roads.
SoFlow states 22 km/h on all three product pages. The eKFV defines the design-related maximum speed as a maximum of 20 km/h; Annex 2 regulates measurement and tolerances. A shop statement neither proves the technical design of the delivered vehicle nor a legal violation. The vehicle documents and the approved configuration are decisive. We also analyzed this question in the Pure-Air6 check.
For skins, no fit can be derived from similar model names or frame photos. GT 2, Core 2, and Max 2 remain separate candidates until dimensions, original geometry, and patterns have been checked on the respective vehicle.
