Kaabo Mantis King Pro: US shipping scheduled for September 15th

Kaabo USA is accepting pre-orders for the Mantis King Pro and has set September 15, 2026, as the estimated shipping date. This offer is aimed at the US market. A German market launch or a German-specific version has not yet been confirmed.
Key points
- US pre-order with an estimated shipping start on September 15.
- Price listed on the US site: 1,599 US dollars, with no direct conversion to a final German price.
- Internationally advertised with two motors and a 60 V, 18 Ah battery.
- German launch date, relevant approval documentation, and skin compatibility remain open.
Technical announcements from Kaabo
On the international manufacturer website, Kaabo lists the Mantis King Pro with dual 1,200 W motor power, a range of up to 80 kilometers, and a maximum speed of 60 km/h. These figures describe the international configuration advertised there. We have not independently measured the range or performance.
The US product page also describes a removable battery that is secured with a mechanical key and can be charged separately. In addition, there is adjustable hydraulic suspension at the front and rear, as well as connectivity to the Kaabo app. The removable energy storage unit is particularly interesting for everyday use: the entire vehicle does not need to be right next to a power outlet for charging.
60 V and 18 Ah mathematically result in 1,080 Wh of nominal energy. This is our multiplication of the manufacturer's values, not a measurement of the usable battery capacity. No reliable everyday range can be derived from this figure alone: riding style, payload, and route influence consumption.
A US date is not yet a German launch
The pre-order page mentions an estimated start of shipping. This is neither a guaranteed delivery date nor proof that vehicles are already being shipped. Furthermore, the displayed dollar price cannot simply be converted into a German retail price. A concrete German offer and the associated terms of delivery are missing for that.
For classification as a small electric vehicle (eKFV) in Germany, Section 1 of the eKFV stipulates, among other things, a design-related maximum speed of no more than 20 km/h. The advertised international 60 km/h version is therefore not confirmation of a model approved under eKFV regulations here. The deciding factor would be the documentation for a specific German variant.
Our assessment for model monitoring
The Mantis King Pro combines high international performance figures with a practically interesting battery concept. For German prospective buyers, however, other questions are paramount: Is a suitable variant coming, who will handle service and spare parts supply, and when will reliable sales documentation be available?
At EscooterSkins, we are monitoring the model. Production of skins or the fitment of existing Mantis sets is not promised. Even similar-sounding model names do not replace a comparison of frame, deck, and fairing. Our E-Scooter Buying Guide offers initial guidance for selection.
