isinwheel is planning a German market launch for the GT1 DUAL in 2027. The company announced the model in its press release on September 2 as a preview for IFA 2026. The focus is on a dual-motor powertrain; the exact German specifications are not yet sufficiently documented in the analyzed sources.

Key Facts

  • GT1 DUAL as an outlook on a 2027 German market launch.
  • Manufacturer specifies two motors with a combined output of up to 1,600 watts.
  • Announced battery: 48 volts and 13 ampere-hours.
  • Advertised range: up to 60 kilometers.
  • 10-inch tubeless off-road tires announced.

This data is derived from the official isinwheel press release. It is considered information regarding the trade show model, not as independently confirmed data for a German production variant.

What was actually announced

The German IFA page from isinwheel also lists the GT1 Dual as a model for next year. A binding German market launch date including month, price, and complete registration documents cannot be derived from this. Both publications originate from the manufacturer's environment; they do not constitute two independent product tests.

Why the German variant is crucial

For interested parties, the most important open question is: Which specific version will be offered here? The model name and an international trade fair description are not sufficient to determine the equipment level or the regulatory approval of a future German vehicle.

According to § 2 eKFV, operation on public roads requires, among other things, an appropriate operating permit and a valid insurance sticker. In the KBA list as of August 27, 2026, we found no entry under the name GT1 DUAL on September 7. Different type names and subsequent approvals remain possible.

Our assessment of the technology

48 volts times 13 ampere-hours mathematically results in 624 watt-hours of nominal battery energy. This calculation serves as a guide and not as a measurement of the actual usable energy. Likewise, the advertised range is no proof of the distance a specific rider will achieve on their route.

For a future comparison, we would consider range, braking performance, weight, and ease of use together. Two motors alone do not answer any of these questions. Before an evaluation, we lack a complete data sheet for the German version and verifiable practical results.

What this means for existing owners

No new feature, software update, or accessory compatibility for existing isinwheel scooters can be derived from the GT1 DUAL announcement. Anyone who already owns a different model should continue to use its exact designation as a basis for spare parts and accessories.

Skin planning at EscooterSkins

We are adding the scooter to our model monitoring. We are keeping track of the pending steps on the planning page for isinwheel GT1 DUAL skins. A precisely fitting set is not yet available. To achieve this, the production geometry and surfaces must first be inspected; an existing cut pattern will not be adopted simply based on a similar name.
